Following a brief overview of superconductivity as we know if today this talk will present three different results related to the mechanism of superconductivity: a theory of the Coulomb pseudopotential in the interacting electron gas [1], a phenomenological discussion of superconductivity and its relation to density wave order in twisted transition metal dicalcogenides [2,3], and results on superconductivity and other phenomena in the vicinity of a topological Mott transition [4,5 and upnpublished]
